Good to Know Before You Go

Belmont Park is on the Mission Beach boardwalk at 3146 Mission Boulevard. Ride hours change with the season, and the four public lots around the park are free.

The San Diego Museum of Art and the Fleet Science Center are both on El Prado in Balboa Park. The art museum is closed on Wednesdays, while the Fleet is open daily. Parking in Balboa Park has been paid since January 5, 2026.

The Navy SEAL Museum is at 1001 Kettner Boulevard downtown, across the street from Santa Fe Depot, with last admission at 4:15 p.m.

The Patriot jet boat departs from 990 North Harbor Drive, next to the USS Midway Museum. Expect to get wet, and leave valuables behind.

The Patriot isn’t recommended if you’re pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart, neck or back problems, are prone to motion sickness, or have had recent surgery, and guests must be able to board without help from the crew.
